我学到的最大感悟就是我根本不懂烹饪,在家里我总认为我是个了不起的厨师。在这所学校你能学到谦虚。来到蓝带厨艺学校最初的两三周里,你要从基础开始,在烹饪兔子时也不必过分紧张。同时,我有很多时间来提高我的刀工,这也是要学习的头一件事。我会到超市买一袋5磅重的胡萝卜,削好皮后就开始练习切丝、小丁、旋形等等…因此到我得到第一个工作时,我会远远能够胜任。

I realized I always wanted to be in the kitchen with my mom, but not necessarily watch her cook, but rather have her move aside and let me do the cooking. That's really when I realized that this is what I want to do, this is what I want my life to be about. 我之前总想和妈妈待在厨房里,但是没有必要看着她烹饪,而是让她在一旁看我烹饪。那时我才意识到这就我想做的,这是我想从事的工作。
